Two tracks taken from two separate Live performances using my own No Input Mixing Board setup. Throughout my life I have always been interested in electronic sound, experimenting seriously with various approaches in genre and equipment. This tried and true setup is my own version of a litany of individuals who work in this realm. Over the past few years I have been working with feedback for upright bass and amplifier. This No Input Mixing Board setup further delves into the concepts of feedback, again using the most humble setup possible.
Big thanks primarily to Bob Bellerue and Toshimaru Nakamura for the inspiration.
Urgency, groove, tradition, anger, it's all there in this wonderful bass sound. The pieces reveal different aspects each time I listen to them. Feedback, overtones, shifting patterns, lyrical moments, make this a very contemporary and explorative album, while tone and phrasing at times reaffirm the power of the instrument's tradition. livkon
The intensity and power, the majesty, an ocean is beautiful and horrifying in concept, a representation of the power of nature to mystify and then swallow you whole, I walk straight into this ocean and it does what it will. Mighttheone
